To onboard you as a driver, we require certain documents for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification, such as Aadhaar, Driving License, PAN card, etc.
- Explicit Consent: We will explicitly ask for your consent within the App before collecting and processing your KYC data. You will be asked to confirm your agreement, for example through a checkbox, stating that you consent to us collecting and using your provided documents strictly for KYC verification purposes.
- Purpose Limitation: Your KYC data will be used strictly and solely for identity verification, onboarding, and legal compliance purposes.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, please note that withdrawing consent for KYC processing will prevent you from using the App to perform deliveries, as verification is a mandatory requirement.

A. Personal Information
When you register and use EkMandi Driver, we may collect personal information that can identify you, including but not limited to:
- Contact Information: Name, phone number, and email address.
- Driver & Vehicle Details: Driver's license information, vehicle registration, and insurance details as required for onboarding and verification.
- Profile Information: Profile picture and other details you provide.
B. Location Data (Foreground & Background)
The EkMandi Driver app is designed for delivery personnel and requires access to your location data to function properly.
- Foreground Location: We collect your precise location data when the App is open and visible on your screen to show your current location on the map, help navigate to the delivery destination, and calculate distances.
- Background Location: We collect your precise location data even when the App is closed or not in use (running in the background). This is required to continuously track your location during active shifts so that customers and our dispatch team can monitor the real-time status of deliveries, assign new nearby orders, and calculate accurate payouts based on distance traveled. We do not track your location when you are off-duty.
C. Camera and Storage
- Camera: We request access to your device's camera to allow you to take profile pictures, scan documents for KYC purposes, or capture proof of delivery such as a photo of a delivered package.
- Storage/Photos: We request access to your device's storage (read/write) to allow you to upload existing photos from your gallery for your profile or proof of delivery, and to save necessary app data locally.
D. Device and Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information about your device and how you interact with our App, including:
- Device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers (e.g., IMEI).
- IP address and mobile network information.
- App usage statistics, crash reports, and interaction logs.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes, including:
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To authenticate your account, assign delivery orders, and facilitate navigation.
- Real-time Tracking: To provide real-time tracking of active deliveries to customers and our operational backend using background location.

- Google Maps & Location Services: Used for mapping, navigation, and location tracking.
- Firebase (Google): Used for analytics, crash reporting, and backend services.
- OneSignal: Used for delivering push notifications.

What Happens Next?
Verification & Processing: Our support team will verify your request and process the deletion within 7 to 14 business days.
Data Deleted: Your profile information (name, phone number, store details), uploaded KYC documents, product media, and location logs will be permanently deleted from our active databases.
Data Retention: Certain transactional, payment, and invoice records may be retained for a limited period solely to comply with applicable statutory, tax, and legal obligations under Indian law.
